Heads up to anyone upgrading from Ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04. I had no problems running wow on Ubuntu 7.10, but on 8.04 wow will freeze your whole system after about 5 minutes of gameplay.
I can't really understand it yet, I will try to reinstall everything, including cxGames (maybe something messed up on the upgrade).
Let me know if anyone has a solution I can try.
Looks like there's a 32/64-bit library incompatibility in 8.04 that's causing network connectivity issues with lots of programs running in Crossover (and other native Linux apps too). Take a look at http://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/FAQ/Ubuntu804_KnownBugs for more info.
I did'nt upgrade but a clean reinstall up to 8.04.
CrossOver Games 7.0.0 did'nt work for me (lots of crashes), but a recenter beta worked fine and i'm playing daily without any problems.
