I have an issue with losing connection to the world at critical points while playing WoW. I can idle in most cities, chat, interact with NPCs, etc. However, whenever there is heavy interaction with mobs/NPCs & other players I lose connection. IE: Attack groups of mobs in and out of instances, scripted events for NPCs, PVP against other characters etc.
The weird part is that I don't get a normal disconnect where I am "disconnected from server." Instead, I stop receiving information about the world, as in all character/NPC movement stops and idles, though I can still roam freely. I cannot cast spells, but if I move around the world I will actually be moving & my position is recognized by the world. This leads me to believe I am sending information, just not receiving any back.
I believe there is something in-game that is triggering my network to stop receiving packets. I'm not a networking guru so that's as much as I can figure out, but hopefully others have had this issue and there is an easy fix.
Also, I have opened all the necessary ports both on my router & firewall, so that is not the issue as far as I can tell.
Thanks in advance for your support,
