I decided to try the new X-Pac when it comes out. When I use the Software Installer and select the WoW option, it tells me it's going to use a Win2k bottle. If I try to switch it to winXP I get a warning about it not being comparable.
If you read this: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=11162666406 you'll see that Blizzard stopped supporting Win2k two years ago. Also, the system requirements listed here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=21054 say you need WinXP. I'm gonna go a head and do what the Installer suggests, I just wanted to double check. I'll post with whatever results I get.
