Character skin black upon character creation

Sabayon Linux KDE4.2.4:

Installation went fine, but when creating a character the character appears black. Hair is fine, but the rest is black and stays black in game for the rest of the session. After restarting WoW and logging in, the character displays fine in-game, but the character creation still has this bug.
