WORDSearch works in Crossover Linux!

Installing WORDSearch9 for the "upgrade" download WS9Setup.exe

  1. In Crossover go to Manage Bottles and create a new 'winxp' bottle.

  2. Under the 'Runtime Components' section pick 'Internet Explorer 7'. In the next section make sure it's set to 'Install into a new winxp bottle' and run that install.

  3. Now install WORDSearch by choosing Other Application in the Community support tab. Pick your existing winxp bottle, and in the section below that 'Will install from...' pick Choose Installer File and select the setup file WS9Setup.exe.

At this point, you can 'restore' an old backup of a desktop and download whatever is available from the WORDSearch site. I have also successfully used step #3 to install online purchased books using the downloaded installers and CD based book installers. I have yet to come across a feature that is not working.
