Disconnected from server error.

Hi,

Just started using crossover, and I actually was able to run wonderking successfully. However, after creating your character and getting into the game it will disconnect me from the server in about 2-3 minutes. So, what I was wondering is how can I get rid of the problem or at least extend the time I can play without being disconnected.

Thanks In Advance

Yeah, I always get that error, I have been looking into how to fix that error but so far no avail. That is why i gave this application a Bronze. So far, I reckon that there needs to be a better connection manager for Wonderking to work. BTW I'm a Wonder King Fan so yeah, just to let you know that your not the only one who wants Wonderking on other OSes.

Oh, that sucks...
This was the reason why I really even downloaded crossover, for this one game. Hm, I'll keep it on my mac for a while to see if I theres an update to actually play this amazing game. Anyways, thanks for replying.

Hi,

I see that Secpro is using OSX -- over at WineHQ, I find this reference..;

http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=20453

It'd be glaringly obvious that poster is running linux -- it also notable
they were prepared to give it such a high ranking ; that sort of infers that
they weren't having any networking issues (I guess ;)...the mere mention
of 'HackShield' is a bit worrisome - if that's failing, I believe the symptom
would be one of being disconnected repeatedly every 'x' minutes....I now
begin to wonder if this is an OSX versus linux thing....

@Gotti -- are you using OSX as well?

Cheers!

Update:

I just tested this on my linux box, and get the same error. At a guess
(I'll have to recheck it in wine pure) we're looking at this winebug;

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4666

It would also go to explain the poster's remarks wrt the winehq link above ;
quite possibly they didn't have HackShield running during beta -- if you
read through the winebug thread, it's apparent that HackShield itself has
probably changed/updated as well.

Now that I've tested it here in Crossover however, I can create a bug for
it, (if one doesn't already exist), but it may well be one of those things
that needs to be fixed in wine first before we see it working here...

Cheers!

I see...
And yes Don, I'm on OS x
