WinSCP on Macosx and external editor not detecting changes

Hi!
Im trying to get winscp to work with a native mac editor.
Opening and editing the file is all good, but when saving the document WinSCP does not detect any changes and thus does not upload the changes to my server.

Has anyone gotten this to work?
