If you use a windows 2000 bottle, you will notice that the installer for windows installer 3.1 actually starts, you can finish the wizard, but you will notice the crossover install software wizard hung on "install other processes" but see no installer windows. It is then safe to kill update.exe and have the wizard exit. If a crosstie was used, it could tell us that it exit unsuccessfully but show that it indeed succeeded at installing, which could get confusing. Hopefully a few fixes of wine could correct that minor annoying bug, also having wine mimic specific build versions of win2k, winxp, winvista, and win7 would be helpful and eradicate this annoying bug.
