hi there
is anyone having a problem with the video in the study edition.
bible-study edition-Matthew-introduction to mathew.... it will crash on the video icon any fixes?
.and also pop boxes (scriptures etc) flicker

I am using the Danish version and I don't have the English Study Edition.

I will order an English version so I can research it further.

Wondering if you'd gotten anywhere from looking into this. I'm having the same issue. Also, I'm not able to load the monthly updates for the 2016 version. It hangs at 90%.

I have researched it - and it seems the binary is using code not yet ported to wine. So a programmatic solution does not exist yet. You will, however be able to view the video file in a manual fashion.

~/.cxoffice/<your-watchtower-bottle>/drive_c/Program Files/Watchtower/Watchtower Library/E/rs_data/PUBS/NWTSTY_E/MEDIA

I have experienced slow download - my guess is you running in an XP bottle - try change it to a Win10 bottle - that is if you're running CrossOver 16.x
You could also be missing a library eg. zlib. Open a terminal

cd ~/cxoffice
./bin/cxdiag --debug

Install missing libraries.

Hi All
I had to reinstall Ubuntu as I did something really stupid...
I tried to in watchtower library using the 2016 setup in crossover 3 times no success, used win 10 bottle, then win 7 bottle all 64bit
then tried the tie link but no go.(it used XP) tried again changing to win 10 bottle, wont start after installation ( this happens each time)

But did what did last time used the 2015 setup and win 7 bottle all good..64bit

I have been trying to get around the video issue - but with no luck.

Linux has no problem with the media itself. It is the way the playback is launched which makes CX crash.

The media is located at

~/.cxoffice/Watchtower_Library_2016/drive_c/Program Files/Watchtower/Watchtower Library/E/rs_data/PUBS/NWTSTY_E/MEDIA/

Use the terminal to create a shortcut a convenient place e.g. your desktop
[b]~/Desktop[/b] ln -s ~/.cxoffice/Watchtower_Library_2016/drive_c/Program Files/Watchtower/Watchtower Library/E/rs_data/PUBS/NWTSTY_E/MEDIA/

Open the link and you have all the media for you to play with.

I have a big problem I can not install watchtower library 2016 (DVD) or 2017 (download)
It will install but won't start.
have tried the Win10 bottle, 7,8 ... 32 and 64 bit.any ideas, please.
