Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos Forum

I am trying to install Warcraft III (and The Frozen Throne extension) on my Macbook with CrossOver Games.

I chose "Install Unsupported Software" and "Chose installer file" but then it reads the mounted partition of the CD, which is as far as I can see a dedicated Mac install partition (as the CD works for both Mac and PC).

For those who are thinking "Why is he trying to install a Mac and PC game on a Mac by emulating the PC version" I shall remind that the Mac version is for PowerPC processors, and not compatible with the new X86 Intel processors Apple uses since a few years, and I have in my laptop…

So I cannot access the windows partition with the windows installation files and am locked.

Does anyone knows a way to fix that ?

Warcraft III installs and runs fine on OS X 10.5.7-Intel, after updating it is an Universal application. As to why you have trouble with WC3 on OS X-Intel it's likely because you have Warcraft III preferences in your preferences folder that are newer then the version of WC3 you are installing off the CD.

I have done a lot of beta testing for Apple and Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne are the second and third applications I test.
