Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos Forum

Hi there,

Just hoping to figure out a way to run wc3 in window mode. I have a legitimate copy but as I run Lion i have to use Crossover.

To save time, command+M does not work :)

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Try emulating a virtual desktop using winecfg (Configure menu > Manage Bottles > Select
the Bottle > Control Panel tab > Wine Configuration).

• Open winecfg and select war3.exe from the list of applications
• Click the Graphics tab and check Emulate a virtual desktop
• Click the OK button to save these changes

Thanks for the help, I tried the steps but it still runs in full screen!

Make sure the experimental Mac Driver is not enabled (Configure menu > Manage Bottles >
Select the Bottle > Advanced tab > Uncheck experimental Mac Driver)

Warcraft III should now run in a virtual desktop window. If not, open winecfg and select
Default Settings from the list of applications and check Emulate a virtual desktop.
