This title has started to work 'as expected' with wine-1.1.31 using the wine gecko component (instead of a 'real' IE-7 installed in the same bottle). Directx Runtime installation into wine needed (using winetricks), Emulate a virtual desktop ON.
Game still needs to be started from within the game $installdir, otherwise it generates an error so related. Ergo...
bash-3.2$ cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Telltale Games/Wallace and Gromits Grand Adventures/The Last Resort
bash-3.2$ wine WallaceGromit102.exe
....game will start & run without any noticeable problems/issues so far. On a leap of faith, I will imagine the other 3 titles in the wallace&gromit series are also now similarly disposed.....
So, hopefully we can see these running in crossover sometime in a nearer future... :D
