vSphere Web Access plug-in under Crossover and IE or FIrefox

Hi Guys -

Using vSphere v5.1 servers and using VMware Web Access to hit the servers which works great, except on a Mac you can't use the remote Console from the vSphere client because the Mac browsers don't support the VMWare console plug-in. On a windows machines, IE or Firefox works great as long as you download and install the plug-in, which comes in the form of an executable to download and run in Windows.

Installing IE under Crossover works great except for the browser plug-in. How does one install a plugin? This would make the VMware vSphere web client fully functional under the Mac and that would be a huge win.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Doug,
Virtual Center works under CrossOver 12.1.2 as well (without having VSphere or VSphere web access). Same issue, though: the VMRC crashes. Apparently lots of dependencies for this including javascript (not sure of the level of javascript support in CO and can't find documentation about it via Google or CodeWeavers site search).

Here's the process I used to get it installed (via Crossover 12.1.2):

I first downloaded the Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 SP1 from Microsoft (so I would have it locally on my machine during the installation.)
Then in the CrossOver Software installer, under "Service Packs and Upgrades" selected "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1"
Changed the location from "download" to point at my local, already downloaded version.
Changed the bottle from the default to a "new WinVista bottle" and commenced installation.

After the install was complete, into the SAME bottle I ran the VMware-viclient-all-5.0.0-623373.exe installer.

Upon completion I ran the VSphere client software and connected to the esxi server - Yay!

However, any VM I start indicates "The VMRC Console has disconnected - attempting to reconnect…" as soon as I attempt a connection to the console (within the vSphere client as well as if I try to "pop it out").
