Visual Studio 2019 Forum

Hi,

I noticed that Visual Studio 2019 has a 5 star rating on the Mac compatibility database which got me very excited.

However I'm having trouble getting it installed myself. Can someone confirm for me that it does in fact work and if so give me some steps to follow to get the install to work?

Visual Studio doesn't appear to be listed in the default list so I downloaded the installer from Microsoft myself and tried to manually install it both into a new bottle and also into an existing bottle I've been using for other software.
I get a window pop up with a progress bar that shoots across very fast and then CrossOver tells me the install is complete however I can't find anything actually installed or any way to move forward.

I thought I would let anyone who ends up here know that I got confirmation from CodeWeavers that VS 2019 (Windows) doesn't install with CrossOver (21.0.0) and that the 5 star user rating I saw was likely because there is a Mac version of VS 2019 and so you can run the application on Mac.

Unfortunately for me I specifically needed the Windows version but I'm happy to know that it's not worth trying :)

I have noticed the rating has dropped down to 3 stars now.
