Did anyone had success installing VFP8 with cxOffice?? I known that there already some people running it with original wine branch, so I think that with some tweaks we can have VFP8 running with cxOffice.

If you're on this forum (hi Amaury) and are a serious Foxpro dev, PLEASE CONSIDER TESTING FOX UNDER WINE. We need to get the "issues" list current so Codeweavers can fix it.

If we can get our VFP apps running on Linux, we'll have a great story to tell our clients and customers. Please help!

If you're new to Linux altogether, don't be bashful. Post or send me an email directly and I'll help you get up to speed fast.

I'm trying to test, but being a newbie to Linux SUSE 9.0, I'm still mucking around with the simple stuff.

For instance the network browser says I need Lisa - where and how do I do I get that on?

I'm also trying to get the Linux client for novell on - can't get it to start.
was trying rpm

now, do I under stand this right - I can move my complied fox app to Linux - after my above is satisfied and run it?

What about the dll's i need

can i manually set up the directories and just copy them.

I have alot to learn, if iwas only running single with internet access Linux is a snap. (so far not to bad except for all i don't know)

The learning curve - learning how to apply the concepts

anyhow will check the other sites

One thing I've noticed, It appears all is well on the Crossover office,(wine is running and the fake_c and windows files are all there)

Is there a way to get the wine(desktop (Drive C:) as a shortcut?

I'm waiting for Novell 6.5 and the Linux drivers to come in before I get to involved in the desktop to Netware client.

I believe I can burn my complied fox app on a cd and move it to the HD,

From there I need to put it in the root of C: - see my problem, I don't want to recompile. If not, once I get my Netware client working I could run from the server once I can map a virtual drive. I'd prefer to let the data sit on the server and have the app on the workstation.
