I install first dcom95, IE6 and then Office 2000 (premium) before any other application. The javaVM should be installed ; if not, you can download and install the redistributable package from sun. I then install the data access composant if this has not yet been done (with office).

From this point, VB6 main program installs gently but the end of the installation is not detected (you have to press the button to advise crossover that the installation is finished). You can now run VB6 and I have tested the basic functions with no problem.

VB6 includes server components and some tools. The beta 2 version of crossover did not install these tools and components. I could not modify the installation : the assistant does not opens and a windows reboot simulations occurs.

Thus ; VB6 runs when no server component is required.

install was very good and stable, and very responsive. however it did take 2 hours, a bit long . But i deemed that my testing environment wasn't really the best. I tested this on a VMWARE machine, so i guess I have to cope with the delay.

There is no obvious signs of crashing when doing "Normaall" operattions , but i haven't trued doing anything to complicated. I So I guess i would give this a bronze rating. Sorry that this post is messed up but the display box for typing replies seems to be very bizzaire. I am using Mozilla Firefox 1.54 on OSX if anyone has a solution to this problem I'd be interested. It doesn't appear to haoppen if I use this website on my Linux/ Windows boxes.
