Direct Sound issue

I can install this and set it up and even connect to a server yet the issue arrises that no sounds is ever heard and i get a Direct sound error at start up when i go into setup I am unable to rectify the situation.

Is there a way to get direct sound working on Vent through CrossOver I am using it on Fedora 8 32bit
