Unreal Tournament 3 Forum

Hello i am using the latest version of crossover games 7.2
When i attempt to install Unreal tournament 3, it lets me install, but will not open once installed.
Using mac osx 10.5.6 fully updated
Imac 2.66Ghz 4gb ram plent of hd space.

Any additional info? logs?

Out of curiosity, are you using the Steam version of the game, or the disc version?

I have the steam version, and here it doesn't work in my macbook, that is above the minimum requirements, I get play easy Counter Strike Source, Counter Strike and Unreal Tournament... but Unreal Tournament 3 I don't get how to make work.
Anyone knows how fix that?

I Already try install a new directX, windows live games, dot net framework, and nothing one of this things worked with me.

I Think in use basecamp for play... who knows, the only thing bad about it is that my HD isn't so huge to get the charge.

Can you explain what exactly goes wrong with UT3? Does it crash? Show an error message?

I double click in steam, so the icon appears on the dock then dessapears without even a window be initializated.

Same here. CS:Source starts and runs fine, but when I try to start UT3 via Steam, I get the icon for like 1 second and then its gone again and nothing happens. If I try to start it again, Steam says its already running. I have to reboot the Bottle to have it working again.

I even tried installing it via DVD in a new bottle, but then only the icon appears in the dock but the game still won't start.

Where can I find log files to post them here?

For me (on Linux) it locks up the whole X server when I try to run it. Can't even kill the X server, mouse and keyboard stop working as well. Need to force a hard reboot.

I have the same issue with the steam version where it fails to launch. This is on Crossover Games 8.1.4 for Mac OSX 10.6.2
