- Created a bottle
- Installed Steam to it
- Installed all the usual runtimes (DirectX Modern, .Net 3.0, VC++ 2008, XML Parser)
- Installed PhysX
- Installed Trine through Steam
Like other Steam games, Trine tries to install its dependencies during the first run. Trine tried to install PhysX again, and then actually installed Windows Media Format 11 Runtime by itself.
Then the game ran!
It looks great, and it's eminently playable. Only complaint is that the font used for navigating the main screens looks funny. But the text looks great during the chapter prologues and during gameplay.
