OS: Snowleopard
System: Mabook Unitbody 2.0Ghz. Nvidia 9400M graphicscard.

Install instructions:

• Download the free game here
• Make an xp bottle using managed bottles
• Install the game using the installer via the software isntaller in the application tab.
• After install run the game.

It May be possible that when you play the game, the car is invisible.
To fix the invisible car issue, go to run command and go to the bottle of trackmania.

• Type regedit.
• Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D/ (if Direct3D doenst exist, create it clicking': new --> key)
• In that key make a string: OffScreenRenderingsMode with value backbuffer.

Now it should work.

Fyi, the reason why going to backbuffer ORM fixes the cars is because this disables floating point render targets. This in turn disables the game's Shader Model 3 renderer, and the game falls back to SM2. The cleaner workaround is to just go to the game options and lower the rendering path to "PC2" instead of "PC3"

The cars should work ok on Linux with Nvidia cards. I fixed them on OSX for Geforce 8+ cards in the nightlies. OSX+geforce 7 cards is a driver limitation - we need 256 vertex shader constants, but the driver uses some for its internal purposes. I don't know about the state on ATI. I guess Linux might work, OSX is broken.

I can confirm that the cars look fine at maximum settings on Linux with an Nvidia 8800GT.

Thank you. That is really the way to go. With that option set to PC2 the game is perfect!

It works with Crossover Games 8.1.4 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3

Does anyone got it running on a macbook with a GMA X3100 graphic card?

i have a 2gb ram 2.2intel core2duo macbook with snowleopard and crossovergames 9.2

which packages did you use?

Just fyi, the Ninjas and myself have been looking at this title to
try and get it going better on various different videcard/OS setups.
As for the X3100....I'm not sure...I'll se what info I can find in
that regard....(no promises tho' ;)
