Using dxwnd to play on M1 MacBook Pro's External Display

I've been having trouble getting TA to launch on my MacBook. It would either start up with a black screen or a message like "Failed to initialize DirectX". I came across a forum post elsewhere that recommended running it via dxwnd. I tried this and it seems to get me going.

After adding dxwnd to the bottle's C: drive, start dxwnd.exe. Go to Edit->Add and set Name and pick your TotalA.exe in Path. Make sure "Run in Window" is selected. In Main->Position I set "Keep aspect ratio" and set my initial window size to 1920x1080 to match my external display. TA seems to start and run fine through dxwnd.
