Whenever I would try to run the game in fullscreen mode at any resolution higher than 1024x768, the game would relaunch, and simply revert to 1024x768. This also happened in previous versions of CrossOver Games, but I am running 9.0b4 at the moment. Running on Mac OS X 10.6.3.
I get this too, hence the Silver instead of Gold.
On my MBP (1920 by 1200): The game reports itself as Fullscreen with a resolution of 1920 by 1178, choosing any other resolution sets the screen to 1024 by 768 (without a menu bar); i.e. the game will only run in 1024 by 768 WITHOUT a menu bar or 1920 by 1178 WITH a menu bar.
This must be an OS X issue.
It's true that any change of resolution or of fullscreen/windowed mode restarts the game, but this seems to be by design. Varying combinations of resolutions and modes ran successfully in my amd64 linux box w/GeForce 9500GT.
try running it in safe mode, the game does not like full screen mode at all
