Alright, so I installed Titan Quest the original using a custom bottle.

Ran the game by using the command on the installer.exe in the DVD

Game loaded but no keyboard input

installed the expansion pack

keyboard works but shader compiler doesn't work, got a game to fully load and play, but since my character is all but invisible, except the knife, and so are all the other characters, inc. enemies. I play with graphics settings and turning off full screen and using low settings gave me the ability to see my character and enemies for about five min, environment still glitchy.

So my question is there anything I can do to fix it? Is there a settings nirvana? Do I have to change the .exe files manually? This is really frustrating because I am so close, and I'm in the game, but it wont load.

Well, I would be interested in knowing how you fixed your keyboard input problem, because that is one I cannot find a way around. As for the missing textures and characters, go into your options and do two things: change your texture level and check/uncheck an option that will require the game to re-render (v-sync or aa should do). It does not matter what level you set your textures to, aside from performance issues, and it does not matter which box you pick, you simply need to re-render the game at a different texture resolution (try it in game and out of game both, if you aren't having any luck.) It might take a few tries, but it has never failed to work for me. You may have to re-do these steps as you enter new areas with new textures, but I have not had to do this since applying the various regedit tips you can find here and on the official forum. Now, this is simply conjecture, but I think the biggest performance gain (especially the texture loading problem) was solved by specifying your video memory size in the Direct3D registry key. I can try to track down the specific one if you cannot find it here.
