The new version of tibia 8.5 is not longer working on Crossover, unfortunately the game was updated and every time you try to use it it asks you to download those updates, after downloading them it has to reset but it never comes back on. The only solution I see is by installing in windows and then coping the installed/updated folder into Mac but this is not an option for users that does not have a windows computer or partition.
Im sure the game will work when the new updated client(maybe 8.51) comes out, too bad it takes really long for CIP (the company that runs tibia) to update their clients(this has happened several times before and they take like 3/4 weeks to update).

Yeah I installed Tibia 8.5 also and it loaded the game onto my computer, but when I attempt to open the game it won't work. what do I do?

In order to make tibia work again, you have to install it on a windows computer or a virtual machine, then copy all the files on the installation location in windows into mac. You just have to open tibia. In order to make it orderly i substituted the files from my bottle(from the tibia that doesnt work) to the tibia installed and updated on the windows. Again it has the same issues than the older versions but is still fully playable after some tweaks(check the tips & tricks section).
