Thumb Plus and CXO 4.2

in my environment here: MEPIS 2004.3 and Crossover 4.2 with an Installation of MS Access 97 and Access 2000 Thumbs Plus Pro version 6 does work well. You even can use now the grafic functions and plugins when viewing a file. This allways crashed in CXO 3.0. My TD4 database file now have about 10000 thumbs and it is very stable. Form time to time i have some "memory access" crashes and then i have about 10 to 12 winepreloader processes left. When i kill all the wine processes and restart thumbs everything is ok and no data are broken. The compress and repair database function are working fine now.

it is really more stable with the new cxo 4.2. In cxo 3.0 it often crashed and mixed up it's own database file - this was frustrating.

As far as i can see here thumbs is more stable if you choose access version 97 format for the TD4 database file when creating a new database file for thumbs.

The only problem i have here:
Thumbs does need to have volume names for the drives. so i put the .windows-label to all the drives/directories i want to use with thumbs. (for sure i've done the linking to a drive letter) But CXO 4.2 does only pass the the drive names if the partition or dir is owned by the user, i.e the HOME dir of the user has a name in CXO. If the part/dir is owned by root i can't get a volume name for that drive in CXO 4.2 even the rights are set to everybody can do everything (777).

I haven't tested thumbs without a access installation, so i can't say anything about it in this kind of installation.
