As you may have discovered, (K)Ubuntu 14.04 has broken Crossover and a new version is required. So, I will be testing my ThumbsPlus bottle on 13.1.3 c/w Kubuntu 14.04 this weekend, and will report back.
Well, my ThumbsPlus bottle that worked perfectly on earlier versions does not work with this version. I cannot open the bottle. Instead, wineboot.exe uses 100% of a processor core and stays like that indefinitely. I tried it several times, including a 48 hour period, in the hope that it might sort itself out eventually. It didn't!
There is no clean exit either and I have to kill all wine* processes manually in order to restore my machine to a workable state.
When I have time, I will create a new bottle. But the fact that Crossover gets itself into such an unusable state by simply opening a bottle indicates there are serious issues with the current Crossover. 😷
Well after six months I have finally been able to log in here. The Javascript login at the top of the page still does not work in Firefox on Ubuntu. Fortunately the login page does. And in that time Crossover version 13 has been superseded by version 14 - which I am downloading right now to see if any of my old bottles work in it.
Probably best If I start a view thread for this later, considering version 13 is "old news".
The login works just fine for me on both Firefox and Chrome, also on Ubuntu. I'd look at your extensions.
