I bought this game on GOG a couple of years ago for no good reason, it was just on sale for a very low price and I had recently watched The Witcher series on Netflix. I never installed or played it.
More recently, I installed the Mac version of this game from GOG onto my 2019 Intel iMac and it worked fine. I didn't play it for more than a few minutes just to confirm that it would work. The Mac version of this game from GOG does NOT work on my M4 Pro Mac Mini. Both computers are running MacOS 15.1.1.
I downloaded the "offline backup installer" for the Windows version of this game from GOG. I then created a new Windows 10 64-bit bottle, installed DirectX for Modern Games into the bottle, and then installed the game into the bottle. The installation completed without any problem and the game appears to work well. Intro cinematics, cutscenes, graphics, sound all seem to be good – note that I haven't "really" played the game, only a couple of minutes just to be sure it was working. Navigating through the game's options menus seems to be slow, I don't know if that is an issue with the game + Crossover/WINE + Rosetta2 + ??? or the game's menus behave that way on a real Windows box, too. Not a real problem, just "felt" a bit off to me, but the gameplay itself seems fine.
