Install Direct X Runtime after full install of that game

I'd like to share my experience, I installed the game from the http://www.thewarz.com/download/, but the direct X that comes with the package failed to install, the first screen worked but the keyboard didn't work.
So I installed the Direct X from the crossover "Install a Windows Program" and the game ran like a cheetah.
Have a nice game!

Hi, thanks for posting this. I was just wondering if it takes you a long time to get the game running, I've spent a good 15-20 minutes waiting every time I've joined a server. Any ideas how I can fix this? I have DirectX Runtime installed along with Microsoft Visual C++ 2010--both in the same bottle. I also sometimes encounter an error, after waiting the 20 minutes, which says failed to create texture... Because of out of video memory"

Any help you can give would be hugely appreciated.

Well, that happened to me too... in fact I only got the first time game working, the other times that I tried play it shows me the exactly the same "texture out of memory" message (my gpu is 1gb).. :P
Well... I'll be waiting for some good soul to discover how to fix it... I'm a noob on crossover yet.

Try creating a Direct3D key under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine. Add a new string variable with the name VideoMemorySize. Double-click on it and fill in the value of your video ram in MB. For 1GB you should fill in 1024.

Take a gander at this so you get an idea of how it's supposed to look. Don't copy the other stuff in that picture, just what I told you about

To get to the registry editor, open the bottle manager, select the bottle where the game is installed then click the Run Command button, type in regedit and press Enter

Thanks for the suggestion, Cojocaru.

I tried it but I still got the same error message. Here is an image of what I did. Is it right?

And here is the error.

Thanks so much for your help.

When joining into a server I also got a extremely long loading time, always makes me go time out.

Already DirectX installed, login screen and character selection working perfectly.

That might be a problem due to the .NET Framework.

Sorry, I mean Visual C++
