After following the Tips and Tricks Installation instructions that only got me so far then I found I had to do the following:

Install Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 through crossover

Must install Mircosoft Visual C++ 2010 (Have to download and run through Other software).

Run the Windows/regedit program and add the following

Basically you have to create a key called 'Direct3D' and then strings after that.

DirectDrawRenderer = opengl
Multisampling = enabled
OffscreenRenderingMode = fbo
PixelShaderMode = enabled
RenderTargetLockMode = readtex
UseGLSL = disabled
VertexShaderMode = hardware
VideoMemorySize = 1024

Edited Wine settings -> Audio an went with the default.

When I get through all the intro, pick a ready made character, and hit start quest then it freezes. I have to use gnome-do, type xkill and kill it.

I installing 'MS DirectXRuntime - Modern' through crossover

Now when I start TSM.exe through crossover games it works! I managed to create a character and move him around the castle and do many tasks.

Actually, Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 is a target built into crossover,
or available for crosstie installation from it's C4 page...see;
