Fails with following error:

During install, and when trying to run the game, I get the error, "C:\windows\Microsft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\mscorwks.dll could not be loaded." When trying to run the game, it gets the error message and fails to launch. This is in Crossover Games 8.1.

I first created a bottle with Steam in it.
Then i installed The Sims3. It failed near the end with a crashed application (error, wine needs to close).

The created game icon does not start - but use "Run a windows command" to start "TS3.exe" (browse to the right path first).
Now it starts.

The Sims does have a copy protection that you need to take care of to really use the game.

I see, thank you for your reply and the info, Klaas.

Hibba.

To launch from the Steam Launcher you need to install .NET 2.0 into your steam bottle from the crossties installer.

Edit: I'd like to add that the DVD Copy Protection now is no longer an issue.
