Hey all,
I am tying to install Sims 2 in CrossOver Games version 8.1.3, is it known to work or fail.
If anyone has any infomation on the matter please let me know.
It's installing but very slowly and the progress bar is stuck and it but I can see the file names change in the under the progress bar.
It has installed but when I go to launch it it says to insert the DVD even though it is inserted, need help ASAP!

Currently, The Sims 2 does not seem to work under Crossover. Perhaps in a later update it will, though. 😊
Not sure if this will help, but on your desktop, try double-clicking the DVD (which will make sure it is mounted) and don't close the window it brings up yet. Next, try to run The Sims 2. (This is similar to something I had to do in Linux for another game, not sure if it will really help on Mac/The Sims 2).
As for the progress bar, from what I have read the game does actually install, the bar just doesn't move throughout the installation. Same with package names.
