I have got the initial loading page displayed and it did all the relevant updates etc then it verifies all the files until it get to the play game button displays where you can press it to play the game. At this point the window closes an Game cog icon is in the dash board on my Mac OX Mavericks but nothing happens? All I can do is force quit the game listed but it will not play? Can anyone help

If it's any comfort to you, you are not alone in having issues with the game. Two other Mac OS X users have a difficult time with it (see the other thread). I'm the one that created the crosstie for the game but I don't have any sort of Mac available for testing so I can't really check what is wrong.

You can try turning off the Mac driver. For this you need to open the bottle manager, select the bottle where the game is installed, go to the Advanced tab and you should find the option there. Try to run the game again after doing this.

Can you tell me your Mac's technical specs?

But in the mean time here are my iMac Specs if it helps to sort my issue:

iMac 27" - Late 2012
Processor - i7 3.4Ghz
Memory - 16Gb
Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680mx
OS X - 10.9.2

Ok I am upto where the other people our in the other thread. I get the loading screen at the bottom but it seems to load forever?
Another thing is when I get to that loading screen I also get a message about windows not finding an onboard audio etc... followed the instructions about the sound dll in the tips but that made no difference in sorting the sound error message. But game doesn't load anyway!

Any further clues?

Going to suggest the same thing I suggested to the others: use an emulated desktop and try running the game again. I left a link to info on how to set that up in the other thread.

Can anyone PLEASE HELP!!! Really want to play this game through crossover but I cannot get it to work? is there any instructions any on how to make it work. I can get passed the minimum requirement warning NO problem by selecting the settings Windows X compatibility option. I then get into the game with the video ubisoft intro logo then it gets to the loading page. There is a rotating image in the bottom right hand side that spins then disappears and a loading image then displays with animated dots. That's as far as I can get, I am very new to the wine & crossover first time I have ever used it so please can anyone help me get this working? the instruction on the other thread seemed to be related to people getting stuck at the minimum requirements error which I originally had but have since got passed by setting the windows X option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For some reason, Mac OS X seems to have issues running this game as you can clearly see in the other thread.

It makes sense why they're not making the game for Mac because it's so difficult.

Please stay on-topic. I don't care for rants on this thread and neither do I want people to start flame-wars.

Does anyone know if there is any further help regarding getting this game to work on OS X using crossover? I am just curious if anyone has worked out how to get the os x version working as of yet...

You guys could help me get an idea by providing the info I ask for in this post. I provide step-by-step instructions on how to obtain the data I need. Before you do anything though, make sure you have a current install of the game.
