Fixing choppy audio on Mac

I had to do a bit of searching to find instructions for this and even then they were incomplete, so putting what worked for me here:

If you are getting choppy audio:

  1. Open the Audio MIDI setup application on your Mac.
  2. Select the sound device you're using.
  3. Use the Format drop down to select 96,000 Hz

Done.

I did this while the game was playing, no need to restart.
