Not enough memory to run application.

I have a MacBookPro6,1 (i7, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M)

The installation went fine, I can start the launcher, but when I click "PLAY" it pops up, "Not enough memory to run application." with an OK button. In theory, it should work with my 512MB of VRAM, but I wonder if that is the issue?

Anyone seen this before?

I haven't seen this, no. Furthermore, I'd expect that a GT 330M card would be capable of running this game.

So, the first thing I'd do is set the graphics detail to "low" from the "options" in the launch screen and see if that does anything.

If not, you might try messing around in the registry. To do so, close Steam, and then go to Programs>Run Command, select the Skyrim bottle, enter "regedit" in the "command" field, and click "run".

Within regedit, browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D

in here, add a new string value called "VideoMemorySize" and set it to "512".

If this has no effect, you might try going to back and setting "VideoMemorySize" to "1024". Any luck?

Aha! Setting video memory to 512 explicitly worked. Thanks!
