Running pretty well in CX Games 10.3

Skyrim now installs with a Crosstie file in Crossover Games 10.3. The Crosstie file will install skyrim into its own Steam bottle - be sure and read the first tip and the tips & tricks page for details on the installation. It's a little tricky in that it takes a very long time, but the installation is pretty self-guiding.

The mouse/focus stuttering has gotten a lot better in 10.3, as well. The two main things to watch out for are:

  • you need a good graphics card. Any integrated graphics chip that uses software rendering will not work, any even some older model hardware rendering graphics cards may not be up to the task.

  • currently skyrim cannot be run in windowed mode, it will crash with a rendering error. It must be run full-screen.
