Two mouse cursors making the game unplayable

Just got the new trial of Crossover and checked if Skyrim is working. It is and I was tempted to buy it right away.

But then I stumbled across annoying issues with the mouse behavior and randomly having the mouse stuck in place when looking around. Got that fixed just to find my next enemy ... a persistent one: a second mouse cursor is chasing across the screen.

I tried a lot to get rid of it. Bottle options, manipulating the Registry, editing ini files.

Sadly the problem is not going away. As it turns out it stems from the macOS dock. Whenever the mouse hits the edge of the screen where the dock is located the macOS cursor appears. I don't even understand how this can happen while in full screen.

The only way to get rid of it is to tab out and in again. But the frequent occasions where it re-appears making it nearly impossible to play at all.

Does anyone have an idea how to stop this behavior?
Or is it a bug with Crossover itself?
