Huge Graphical Problems in Oblivion

Well, I installed Oblivion (normal, not goty) today using the latest version of Crossover Games. Startup, main-menu, and cinema run perfect, but once I get to the character creation and afterwards, it goes completely downhill. There's shading all over my character and NPC's when I look at them, that really slow down the game; however, if I turn away from a character, such as facing a wall or something, the game runs smooth. I had all my settings to the lowest and played in full resolution (windowed mode doesn't work... crashes). So, what do I do to get rid of the shading and make the game run? I haven't really tried patching the game, the first and only time I tried the patch didn't pass 0% after about ten minutes so I close it. Help, please?

Some facts:
2009 MacBook Pro 15' 2.8Ghz, 10.6.2OSX, Nvidia 9600 GT

EDIT: I installed the patch, shading and lag still there.

Exact same problem. Help?
