Oblivion in Ubuntu, won't play, any advice would be appreciated!

I'm unfortunately a new Ubuntu user. I'm using Crossover games, I've installed Oblivion and the expansion in an Oblivion bottle. I can get to the first screen of the game, but I've tried using several video configurations and no dice. I hit play, and whether it is windowed or full screen, It flickers between total black and parts of the movie, the audio is choppy, and the keyboard and mouse are non responsive to skipping the opening movie.

Any advice is appreciated

Some system specs...
Core 2 Duo 2.8 - L3 cache
Radeon with 512 video memory (I believe it is a 4000'ish series.. It was given to me, so I'm not sure the exact model #)
4 GB OCZ RAM

did you follow the tips and tricks.. for installation and version issues.. and getting out of the sewers?

the UseGLSL registry settings is definitely needed.... and i also use OffscreenRenderingMode=fbo, not pbuffer like the thing states.... also DirectDrawRenderer make sure is set to OpenGL ..... these are all in the Wine\Direct3D registry settings.
