How to enable music and play the game?

Hi everybody,
i've got the retail version of the game (DVD version), and i successfully ran the game with Wine (also music works).
With Crossover (13.2.0 and previous versions), if i leave music enabled, the game crashes while loading the main menù.
If i put bmusicenabled=0 in Oblivion config file, music stops working and the game starts fine.

Anyone got the music and the game working together?

Thanks in advance.

Up!

This issue is still on Crossover 14.0.0.
Is it quite possible to have ingame music for this game?
The game works amazing (but with lower performances) on Wine...

This is a blind guess: Install DirectX - Legacy into the bottle. The game may need native dmusic.dll and friends. If that doesn't help try to install Windows Media Player.

Note that especially Windows Media Player may conflict with other things in the bottle. So be prepared to delete the bottle and reinstall the game if something breaks.

I remember fiddling with related problems. Tried different bottles, WMP, DirectX, but didn't work in the end. :(

Hello Vanack,

Music is working for me with version 14.0.3 on my Debian Wheezy 64-bit system. If there's anything I can do to help, just ask.
