Crash on startup

Hello,

I am running the latest release of crossover games demo (10.1-1) and Oblivion crashes on startup. I've tried both installing from steam and from the dvd. With steam, I can see the launcher, but it crashes immediately. From the dvd, it crashes before even displaying the launcher.
If it helps at all, I tried call of duty: modern warfare 2 and it crashed before starting for both single and multiplayer. I am considering buying the full version, but first I want to see if any of my games are going to work. So far its been just as good as regular wine (actually slightly worse because at least oblivion starts under wine)

Relevant system specs:
Fedora core 15 (64 bit)
intel core 2 quad
nvidia 8800gtx

Thanks for any help,
Max

Did you try the registry tweaks described in the tips & tricks section?

Also, when I launch oblivion (linux, steam version), I sometimes need to try a few times. It will crash after the popup launcher, and then the 3rd or 2nd time it'll go right through.
It's annoying, but something I can live with (and I haven't been able to pinpoint the cause so far)
