Here's how I modded Morrowind with Mod Organizer 2.
- Install the bottle for Skyrim Special Edition
- Install Steam in a new folder C:\Games\
- Install the following software in the bottle:
- .NET 4.8
- Visual C++ 2019
- Mod Organizer 2
- Go to Wine Configuration in your bottle -> Libraries and add the following overrides:
- d3d8
- dinput8
Mod Organizer is a little unstable; it's unable to find some OpenGL libraries and thus some functionalities will crash it. However, it worked enough for me to install my mods and run the game.
I recommend checking out this wiki and starting with this mod list. Textures are harmless.
- MCP
- MGE XE
- Patch for Purists
- Morrowind Optimization Patch
- Morrowind Enhanced Textures
- Project Atlas + Hot Fix + MET Texture
