So, for another look at compatibility when it comes to porting Windows on Mac, here is a bit of help in getting The Elder Scrolls II : Daggerfall running using Codeweavers Crossover! This involves the GOG.com version of the game. So, just to begin, make sure the setup executable installer is installed, either from the GOG website, or from the GOG Galaxy App.
After installing the Installers from GOG, do the Following:
1) Install an Unlisted Application. The CrossTie, or installation preset, is currently unavailable. This may be for a variety of reasons. Maybe the CrossTie was old, maybe the CrossTie has been submitted but not fully processed by Codeweavers. For whatever reason, the game's installation will be setup with screenshots for reference.
2) Set Up The Installation as follows:
Windows 7 and 32-bit as the Bottle, while selecting the GOG.com Installer file as the installer for the game.
3) Click Install and Proceed through the GOG.com Installation Screen
4) Exit from the Installer when it's complete.
5)The Bottle Contents should appear exactly as shown when the installation is complete. You are now free to play the game!
More guides to running games on Codeweavers Crossover should be coming, you can remain updated by checking out the Codeweavers Compatibility Database and checking out the forums and tips for an app or you can join up as a BetterTester if you feel able to write and submit ratings and reports on the performance of Apps in Codeweavers Crossover!
