installation went fine with the installer from Direct2drive.
items of note:
1) the game will crash under fullscreen. emulate a virtual desktop from wine config.
2) i lost sound when i actually got into game. if this happens to you, this can be corrected by going into wine config, going to the Audio tab, and changing Direct Sound Hardware Acceleration from Hardware to Emulation.
i've already played through Act 1 of Shadows of the Vashta Narada and am loving it! FAN-tastic!
