TexPoint with Office 2000 PRO SP3

Installs and runs hassle-free as long as the "Make Bitmap" button is not pressed. This results in a TexPoint Error window:

TexPoint encountered an error (EditTex.makebitmap_Click)
EditTex.makebitmap_Click
Error -2147221502 (GetShortPathName)
Context:
MakeBitmap_Click
163

followed by a Microsoft Visual Basic runtime error (number 5).

Are you still using TexPoint? When I tried to install the latest version of texpoint in Office2003, the install finished successfully but the TeXPoint menu did not appear in PointPoint. Is there a trick to getting it to work?
