Works, but unplayably slow

My report for this game so far:

The game runs. I attempted in both Windows 2000 and XP modes. My unique code that came with the game to get the game started did not work. While I was talking to the guys from SecuROM to get my code to work I came up with the wonderful idea to use [text removed] on the .exe file. After doing this the game started and my CD key code (different than the "unique code") worked and then menu's operated flawlessly. I could change any of the settings and felt no slow downs or anything. I changed the resolution etc.

I went to go start the game and the loading menu's appeared and again everything went smoothly. Once the sound of the airport came in the background, which also sounded good as it was supposed to, the graphic's started to appear. Most the of textures at first were correctly drawn and colored. After a few seconds though they did start to distort and began to have random objects in random places. Even worse though is that the FPS was around 1 FPS to 1 frame every 2 seconds. Very very slow. The menu's and everything else still came up and were just as operable as they should be, but like the game at play it was very slow. This continued on to the actual game play where you can still control the character.

It Seems like this games has a lot of potential to be an easy mark to say "it works." It needs to be optimized for CrossOver though.

Any suggestions or anything else for this game?

Small update

I had the wonderful idea to attempt to update Test Drive to the latest patch.

The problem now is that the game will no longer run at all.

The only error I can get is from running it in Wine and Cedega which states a certain error code that refers to running the program through an emulator.

Any way of by passing this?

I night in vain.
