When I start the game it shows the valve intro video and then closes immediately.
Some old posts in the forums said to type -dxlevel 90 into the launch options, I did that and get to the login screen but I am unable to change resolution or go to windowed mode or the screen goes white and I have to reboot.
If I leave the settings and enter a game the keyboard doesn't work.
Some more old posts said to try typing -dxlevel 90 and -w 1280 -h 800 to fix the problem but then the same issue occurs where it shows the intro and closes without any error message.
Someone said that we are meant to run stream through crossover games but I am unsure where to get this and if I do will I have to re-download all of my steam games or can I copy the files over from crossover pro to crossover games?

The downloads for Crossover Games are found here: http://www.codeweavers.com/account/downloads/ (You'll have to be logged-in for the link to work) Don't worry about the downloads being called "Demos" you'll just need to enter your email and password to activate it.

You do not want "-dxlevel 90", what you want is "-dxlevel 81". Make sure you only keep it in the launch options once though; it'll remember. Also always have "-novid", there are some known errors with the intro videos.

For switching from Pro to Games you can copy the "C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps" folder from Pro to CXG after you've installed it. That we'll keep all your files from redownloading.

Steam and TF2 are not currently supported with Crossover Pro so if you want help, please, switch to CXG.

Typed -dxlevel 81 and -novid into the launch options and the game doesn't start at all now.

Yea crossover games, will help it, that why it called crossover games ;)

1: Make sure you are using Crossover Games
2: Make sure you installed steam in the supported way through Crossover Games, and not just by downloading the installer yourself.
3: If after this it doesn't start, you typed it in wrong.
