Has anyone been able too enable voice using any Source games? I've noticed that there are voice settings in Steam itself but it's defunct at least for me. Also the settings in TF2 are also defunct.

Audio input on Linux under CrossOver isn't really working currently. A lot of work has been put into this for 7.0.

That would be awesome if you guys do manage to get audio input. that would be such a major feature to have that. Not only for games but Professional audio apps that may run under wine or crossover.
I was able to use voice, but it is extremely laggy sounding to the people on the other end. If I speak very clearly and slowly, what I say gets across.
Interesting could you please list your hardware specs & sound setup within Crossover winecfg

I am also having trouble talking to fellow team-mates. I press the talk button and the ! shows up but no one can hear me. I have tried using usb device to fix/work around but to no avail. This is preventing me from purchasing the software. If any one can tell me how to enable working voice, I will by crossover today.
thanks for any help
The problem is that the ALSA driver isn't fully supported yet.
In Crossover 7 it will be better supported. 😊
Time for an update!
Who can get their mic working properly?
I have noticed it seems to possibly be a speex codec issue. How did I come to this idea/conclusion? Simple, When I'm in ventrilo on a Speex Codec server and try to talk its a replication of issue in game. When I flick the ventrilo codec to GSM it works perfectly!
Any one else notice it?
Cheers
