Crossover not saving settings and TF2 In-game text is missing

System Profile:
Macbook Pro
Mac OS 10.4.11
2.16Ghz
1GB Ram
ATI Radeon x1600
Crossover 6.2.1

Fete de la Reine/Happy Victoria Day to my countrymen.

I mainly have two problems.

First problem: No audio or voice in TF2. As recommend from Tips and Tricks I tried changing my audio settings to Emulation via Winecfg. Yet, it's not able t save the settings once changed after a reboot or simply reloading winecfg again to check.

This is what I do:
-Open Winecfg
-Click on Audio tab (there was a little delay, I was expecting this as it was mentioned in Tips &Tricks)
-Wine Msg: There is no audio driver currently specified in the registry....
-Changed Hardware acceleration from Full to Emulation
-Clicked ok
-Simulated reboot
-Went back to Winecfg to see the settings were not saved.

I've also tried without rebooting and just reloading winecfg to the same results.

Second problem,

In Game text.

When I open the server window to change server in-game, there is no text. It’s just the grey box with no text at all. This also happens with the loading progress box at the bottom right hand side of the screen when I first load up TF2.

Thank you for your time!
Crossover is great. I found this to be better than Parallels.

Try upgrading to CrossOver Games 7.0. The text problem was fixed there, and audio support improved. Regarding the settings, check if there's any dxlevel argument in the TF2 startup options in Steam. If there is, try to remove it. It causes the game to fall back to default settings every start.

Just an update. I've upgraded to Crossover Games and it resolved my problems. Thank you!
