ok i need to put DX8 on TF2 but for some reason it just won't let me can someone please send me a link were i can download DX8 or just give me some instructions so i know what to do. thanks

PLEASE? i just payed £18 for the orange and it will just be a waste of money oh and no other games work well half life 2 starts but stops working after a few minutes and portal stops when i walk out of the first portal

also i have all the requirments for the game and + that it need 1.7 ghz procesor i have 1.86 ghz or maybe will it be because i have it on a laptop with windows vista
No need to install DX8, you only have to change the TF2 settings from Steam. Select TF2, click properties, set startup options and add "-dxlevel 80". For more details consult the Steam documentation.
However, we have a workaround for the dxlevel 81 crash on Leopard. You can download an (unsupported) newer build from the "my downloads" page on your codeweavers.com account page.
