Simple Question

well, i'm using the trial of crossover games, and i'm not sure how it works.

First question: will crossover games simply let the games i have in crossover run in crossover games? or do I need to reinstall in crossover games?

Second question: if I already own crossover, must I pay for crossover games?

You need to reinstall all your software in crossover games I believe. For Steam, just copy the large steamapps file across to your new directory to save re-downloading. Use the advanced tab in "manage bottles" to get to your C:\ directories.

I bought the game and I registered fine using my email and password, so you shouldn't have to pay for another copy.

George,

You can also try to copy the bottles around or place a symlink to share them. There was a small discussion about this on Jeremy's blog: http://www.codeweavers.com/about/people/blogs/jwhite/2008/3/25/how-the-fun-and-games-started, take a look at the posts below.

ok, so I'm to take steamapps and put it in the folder that opens when i press " Open C: Drive in Finder" ? im a bit confused, and i'm no pro at this kind of stuff.

the C: drive CrossOver Games points you to is structured like a C: drive on windows. You'll find the Steam installation most likely in Program Files/Steam. In there is a "steamapps" folder which has the downloaded files.

If you are not sure about all this I recommend you to just reinstall the game normally if you run into problems.

I messed around and made it work. steam didn't have to reinstall, and tf2 is now 50 percent downloaded. can't wait to try it out. can I now throw out all of the steam games in regular crossover, and have em still run in crossover games? if so, i could save about 27 gigs... and that would be quite nice.
